Independent Mechanics and Certified Techs

Take a look around the subforums and look at members' post counts. Some members have been around for years solely posting helpful information, past experiences, and trouble shooting tips.

If you haven't posted yet on E46Fanatics, go ahead and post an obscure question (just make sure it's in the proper subforum!) and someone will know the answer, likely have the part numbers handy, and show you a diagram.

You can use Google to search the entire forum, or use the built in search function. There are posts going back before 2000, so there is an answer to every question as long as you have a few minutes to find it. Be it engine problems, random knocking or ticking, entire waterpump replacements, etc. Since the cars are getting old now, it's pretty much 100% guaranteed that someone has been in your shoes before, and publicly posted the issue and solution to assist other drivers in the future.
